Synopsis
Kimihiro Watanuki's life has never been completely normal. But besides his ability to see spirits, this xxxHOLiC sequel found he was still working hard for Yuuko, the owner of a strange strange store, who promised to get rid of him from this ability. However, this other world woman can only do it when she has worked enough to get what she wants. That's the way for anyone who finds a way to a store to get their request granted: compensation equals what they want to pay.
In a strange shop that straddles the world of the living and the dead, Watanuki finds himself doing homework for Yuuko who seems lazy and her friends, while also helping clients. Together with his classmates, who were suspected of being romantic rivals Shizuka Doumeki and his lover Himawari Kunogi, Watanuki faced many misfortunes around Yuuko's customers, as well as those who followed him and his friends.

Hint
*** I have decided to change the format of my review to give more ups and downs to the subject in the review. I hope people like this new style because of the old essay-style reviews and taking too long to write. By the way, this is the first anime that I will review in this new format ***
xxxHOLiC - Kei is the sequel to the first xxxHOLiC anime which is an adaptation of the CLAMP manga of the same name.
Story:
+ Great plot that makes you want to know what happened next
+ Very profound symbolism and philosophy are presented
+ Greater focus on character development
+ A sense of true continuity is not like a more episodic format than the first season
+ The fusion of supernatural elements in the anime of life
- Fans who prefer the episodic format might be disappointed
- Supernatural situations that are less strange (compared) to the first season
- Manga fans might be disappointed because of the lack of references to Tsubasa Chronicles so far into the story.
Art:
+ Flawless animations
+ No quantity fluctuations throughout the series, solid and stable all the way
+ CLAMP art (for those who like)
- CLAMP art (for those who hate it)
- Little spoilers but I hope they have the "certain person's" eye color as they should
Sound
+ An exceptional soundtrack that fits the atmosphere perfectly
+ The use of an excellent soundtrack makes the scene stronger
+ Great performance by everyone, they do amazing work
- Watanuki's voice can sometimes be irritating (but that's me)
Character
+ Yuuko is amazing .... a very deep and mysterious character that only makes you want to know more about her
+ Watanuki, though sometimes annoying, is a great and fun character
+ The rest of the players and main supporters are very well-liked
+ Great character development that really makes you care about them
- Watanuki's short temper sometimes makes me annoyed (but that's me)
- Mokona is also annoying
Enjoyment: xxxHOLiC - Kei is a very fun anime to watch, I just don't feel like quitting, especially because I like the characters and the flow.
Overall: xxxHOLiC Kei is a good sequel to a great anime adapted from the great manga. But even though it's as good as anime, I highly recommend you read the manga because there is a LOT of IMPORTANT material left behind from both anime adaptations. If you like bits and pieces of life and supernatural interests, then watch xxxHOLiC, which is one of the best at doing both at once.

Welcome to this review!
Story 2.2 / 2.5: Season 1 drew me with an interesting portrayal of folklore and mysticism. This season is very little. Maybe, that wasn't a mistake. Although many layers of magic one season are one of xxxHolic's strongest points. Somehow, in a number of ways, CLAMP managed to pull it from that focal point and still do a good job. Kei is a season that is more centered on the character, with small magical elements mixed together. For the most part, interesting reminds me of many episodes of Jigoku Shoujo (Hell Girl). These episodes are surprisingly fun, and even make me feel a bit left behind. What doesn't cheer me up, is a filler episode in the middle of the season. Who, besides xxxHolic, can get away with basing all the episodes on the Mahjong game? Literally, there is an episode of Mahjong. Almost no actual plot was completed in this episode. For the 13 episode series, I'm a little confused as to why they dedicate their resources to characters who play Mahjong. If it wasn't for how good the main character was, I might be more upset. But still, there is the Mahjong episode.
Art 1.6 / 2.5: In the case of xxxHolic, I really like CLAMP and really hate CLAMP. For season 2 xxxHolic, the artwork was very inconsistent. Most of the time, you will be greeted by a horrible drab background that really doesn't seem to match the rather unique character design. However, in certain scenes, where a kind of important story element is brought to the attention, art is just phenomenal. Enthusiastic and magical, they highlight the true potential of CLAMP who works with Production IG. This hurts me, really; I would like to see further efforts in the daily scenes, rather than just a few of Japan's badly colored city houses.
Audio 1.4 / 2.0: I really enjoyed the theme released by Suga Shikao for xxxHolic. Maybe it's a personal choice, but I feel it
the pop-ish techy jazzy groove style really matches the xxxHolic air (specifically Yuuko). As for the audio in the show,
it really doesn't surprise me that they will remain in very friendly music since the first season. Although I would love to hear that
some new content. Sometimes a little repetitive.
Character 1.9 / 2.5: Welcome back to the cool-headed nerd, Watanuki. Fortunately, CLAMP's efforts this time seem to focus on the relationship between each character, and subsequent developments. Watanuki's growth was slow-burning which eventually failed at Kei. He and Doumeki underwent a period of change, and it was extraordinary. As for the new characters introduced ... Fantastic! A certain young female character blew my little mind in various directions. He is very well made, and well-illustrated. But there are weaknesses, too big to ignore. Himawari. Oh, Himawari. You beautiful bastards, how did they change you. The characterization of Himawari in Kei is very bad. It was laid out so strangely and suddenly that I even questioned calling it characterization. Besides this great disappointment, I also really miss Warashi. Just a warning, our charming duo get very little screen time. They are quite dynamic (or at least interesting) characters that were not fully explored in Season 1.
0.4 / 0.5: I like Yuuko. I really did it. The clothes themselves make me like the show very much. I could not get enough of it
woman. I tell you what.
